The Falcons Preparatory School for Boys is for boys aged 7 – 13, based in Richmond. It is a vibrant school, a place filled with laughter and fun, where children are encouraged, nurtured and motivated at every turn.
The school has a challenging academic curriculum supported by an established and effective pastoral care programme. Leavers continue to achieve results equal to or better than comparable leading day and boarding schools.
Olivia Buchanan, Headmistress
Miss Buchanan is a graduate of St Andrew’s University and has a PGCE and an MA from Cambridge University. Most recently, Miss Buchanan was Deputy Head (Learning & Teaching) at The Hall School in Hampstead where she taught for five years. During this time she has been responsible for the academic agenda at the school and, as a member of the Senior Management Team, has fostered strong links with secondary schools throughout London. With her experience in one of the leading independent preparatory schools for boys in the capital, Miss Buchanan brings valuable experience with her to The Falcons Preparatory School for Boys.
Prior to teaching at The Hall School, Miss Buchanan taught geography at Cottenham Village School. As a keen geographer, Olivia loves to make the most of the school holidays to explore landscapes, cultures and food while travelling all around the world. She also loves cooking and keeping fit. She knows the Falcons schools well, and the local secondary schools, as she lives nearby in West London.
