St Anthony’s Year 6 boys are celebrating a fantastic array of offers from some of the most competitive senior day and boarding schools in the country.

The class of 2022 succeeded in achieving 8 offers from City of London School for Boys, 6 from Westminster School, 2 each for St Paul’s and Latymer Upper, Dulwich College, Tonbridge. 16 offers awarded by Merchant Taylor School, 14 by Wetherby Senior School, 10 by UCS, and 5 each by Highgate and Habs. Months of hard work and dedication by the boys and the whole school community also led to offers from Mill Hill, Cranleigh, Maida Vale school and many more. Scholarship successes include 4 academic scholarships (City, Habs, Cranmore and MTS), a music scholarship at MTS, and an English scholarship at Northbridge House.

Headmaster Richard Berlie says: “We are proud of every boy for the resilience and dedication demonstrated in these past months. Our impressive outcomes are first and foremost a testament to our pupils and to the care and support of our excellent teachers. The school offers bespoke advice to each family encouraging applications to ambitious institutions whilst keeping an eye on the school that is best suited for each child. The new Faculty system, introduced in September 2021, has led to deeper engagement with topics and the opportunity for cross-curricular links, for example between Languages and Humanities, or English and the Creative Arts. The academic curriculum at St Anthony’s first-and-foremost a love of learning centred on inquiry-based tasks – which in turn consolidates pupils’ knowledge and understanding. Once these basics are in place the boys are in the best position to succeed”.

Everyone at Alpha Plus joins in saluting the Class of 2022.
