We are delighted to announce that the new Director of Nurseries will be Alexandra Samara, joining us in November 2019.

Alexandra is currently working for the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea as their Early Years and Inclusion Advisor. During her career she has also spent time in the classroom as an Early Years teacher, founded her own nursery school in London in 2014 (which was rated outstanding by Ofsted in 2018) and has been an Ofsted inspector in Early Years, working for Tribal Education. She has also been an EYPS Programme Assessor and Mentor.

Alexandra has a proven track record in project management. For the “Every Child a Talker” programme for RBKC she audited and analysed early language provision across schools and early years settings in the Borough and developed quality standards and desired outcomes for the project. More recently she has helped to develop a Bilingual Early Years Curriculum, working with the Institute of Education, as part of the Kiindil Education Partnership. In her role with RBKC, Alexandra has co-ordinated EY training across the Borough, which has led to her visiting the Minors and Rolfe’s schools on several occasions to work with the teachers here.

Alexandra has a BA degree in English and European Literature from the University of Essex and she also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Child Development from the Open University.

We look forward to welcoming Alexandra to Alpha Plus in November.
