Alpha Plus Group, London’s leading independent schools group, is celebrating sixty-five accolades awarded to as many pupils in its preparatory schools at 11+ and 13+ entrance exams. Boys and girls gained a host of scholarships, awards and prizes from a variety of leading senior schools.

At Hilden Grange School, which educates around 300 boys and girls aged from three to thirteen in Tonbridge, seven pupils obtained academic scholarships to Tonbridge School. They were placed 1st (The Ainslie), 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 9th, 13th and 14th in a list of 21 awards. A further twelve gained scholarships in music, sport and drama at a variety of other senior schools, including Benenden Girls, Sutton Valence, The King’s School Rochester, Hurstpierpoint and Haileybury.

Six pupils at Chepstow House School were awarded academic, sport and art scholarships in senior schools such as City of London School for Boys and Francis Holland. Chepstow House School educates over 350 boys and girls from Reception to Year 8.

Wetherby Preparatory School, for boys from seven to thirteen years of age, celebrated three top academic scholarships awards: one at Winchester School and two at St Paul’s Boys School, including the prestigious John Colet scholarship. Further accolades comprised of an Outstanding Talent Award at Harrow and an art scholarship.

At Pembridge Hall School, fourteen scholarships and exhibitions were awarded to girls in Year 6 for academic, art, drama and other merits. Twelve academic scholarships were awarded by leading boarding and day schools such as St Mary’s School, Ascot, Sherborne School for Girls and Francis Holland. Special awards included a Head’s Exhibition at Francis Holland (Regent’s Park), Queen’s Scholarship at Queens College London and the Richard Hastie-Smith Music Award at Ibstock Place.

Once again, St Anthony’s School for Boys in Hampstead celebrated the achievement of two Paulatim Awards at UCS. The school also celebrated a top academic award and an Art/DT scholarship at Merchant Taylor’s School, five music scholarship offers to UCS, City, and prospectively Westminster, St. Paul’s School and Eton. A year 8 pupil has been offered music scholarships at Dulwich, Tonbridge, King’s Canterbury and Shrewsbury. Two further year 8 pupils have been awarded Sports Scholarships at Harrow and Aldenham.

In Richmond and Putney, Falcons Preparatory School for Boys and Falcons School for Girls celebrated the successes of six pupils in 11+ and 13+ entrance exams. Accolades included a Governors’ Presentation Award (scholarship) at Magdalen School, Oxford, a Mathematics Prize at LEH School, two further academic scholarships, a sports scholarship and a music award.
