		After university in Bristol, Mark worked in industry in the USA and then began his teaching career in education at Barton Peveril College in Hampshire. Here he fulfilled various roles including that of a teacher of A-level Economics, Senior Tutor and College Governor. After seven years as Vice Principal of a college in Surrey, Mark joined Abbey College in 2004, assuming the position of Principal in 2005.
